Genie GS4390RT Diesel Scissor Lift

The Genie GS4390RT is a mid size, rough terrain diesel scissor which is equipped with the exclusive Genie “Active Oscillating” axle allowing Four-wheel drive and positive traction control. All Genie RT diesel scissors have diamond plated decks, heavy-duty folding guardrails as well as two access and regress self-closing gates. The Genie GS4390RT has a 15.11m working height with double extending decks and a huge class leading SWL of 680kg.

They work by blocking the engine's air intake system, cutting off an uncontrolled external fuel source and the air required to keep the engine running.

When operating diesel engines in Petrochemical plants and other hazardous environments such as petrol station forecourts, a sudden release of flammable gas or hydrocarbon vapour can happen at any time and be instantly drawn into the engine's air intake. This external fuel source would prevent the machine from shutting off, meaning the engine would continue to accelerate rapidly. Chalwyn Valves are the most effective way of preventing these runaway situations, providing emergency overspeed shutdown protection by blocking the engine's air intake system, cutting off the uncontrolled external fuel source and the air required to keep the engine running.
