Genie S85 XC Diesel Super Boom

The Genie S85 XC boom lift/MEWP updates the brand’s popular earlier telescopic unit. This Genie S85 XC extra capacity model offers a dual lift which can handle a wider range of tasks requiring heavier lifting on both construction and industrial job sites. Innovative features to help increase productivity and efficiency include the full-time, active oscillating axle as well as its full-time positive traction for superior terrain ability.

The Genie S85 XC includes a 1.52m robust articulating jib and a dual lifting capacity brought to you by Genie Xtra Capacity™ providing teams with the opportunity to spend more time working and less time reloading with sufficient room for tools as well as materials. XC™ brings a new generation of higher lift capacity models designed with reinforced boom and jib structures for maximum productivity across the full working area. Featuring new real-time envelope controls as well as new load and angle sensors for high stability enables you to perform a multitude of heavier tasks with a single machine. Xtra Capacity™ boom lifts can lift up to 3 people or 454kg in restricted lift capacity & 300kg of unrestricted lift capacity.

The chassis tilt sensor technology is another impressive benefit of this machine which maximises access to those hard-to-reach work areas. The automatic envelope control technology provides a smooth operating envelope and its zero-load field calibration and onboard diagnostics maximises its serviceability.

Chalwyn Valves
Typically used in Petrochemical plants and areas where petrol and other flammable materials are present, Chalwyn valves provide emergency overspeed shutdown protection for diesel engines and are the most effective way of preventing runaway situations. They work by blocking the engine's air intake system, cutting off an uncontrolled external fuel source and the air required to keep the engine running.

When operating diesel engines in Petrochemical plants and other hazardous environments such as petrol station forecourts, a sudden release of flammable gas or hydrocarbon vapour can happen at any time and be instantly drawn into the engine's air intake. This external fuel source would prevent the machine from shutting off, meaning the engine would continue to accelerate rapidly.
