We were very pleased to be asked by our customer NG Bailey to help support the skills and employability of the ‘next generation’, by attending EMPOWER’s Salford Youth Zone May 2026 Holiday Club in Pendleton.

The day was designed specifically to inspire local children aged 8-12, aligned to NG Bailey’s University of Salford project. Our Marketing Manager, Connor Beck; Strategic Sales Manager, Liam Chaney and Technical Director Steve Lewis attended – spending the day talking to groups of young people about careers and apprenticeships in powered access. We also engaged their imaginations and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) by running a quiz to guess whether our Bronto super MEWP is taller than Big Ben and the Statue of Liberty (spoiler, it is!), as well as encouraging the younger attendees to take part in a fun colouring competition. Thanks to our generous supply chain, we were also able to give away lots of Lego and powered access model prizes from Dingli, Magni, Sinoboom and Zoomlion.

Laura English, Corporate Fundraiser for EMPOWER said, “Events like this don’t happen without people who genuinely care about the next generation. It was brilliant to watch our Juniors light up as they got stuck in, and who knows, we may well have just inspired the next generation of electricians, engineers and site managers. We’re so grateful to everyone who gave up their time today to help our young people dream bigger! One of our members who won a small cherry picker toy was absolutely thrilled with it, showing it to everyone he passed!”
