Our Planet

Protecting the environment and ensuring it can support the future generation.

Protecting the environment and ensuring it can support future generations is a responsibility we take very seriously. Our approach focuses on reducing emissions, improving the efficiency of our operations, minimising waste and making more responsible choices across our business. From investing in lower-emission equipment and renewable fuels to reducing our carbon footprint and improving how we use resources, we are continually looking for practical ways to reduce our environmental impact and support a more sustainable future.

We are a Carbon Neutral business

We are a carbon neutral company, fully committed to achieving Net Zero by 2050. We are focused on continually reducing the emissions associated with our operations, while measuring and understanding our carbon footprint to identify opportunities for further improvement. Through investment in lower-emission equipment, renewable fuels, energy efficiency and responsible business practices, we are taking practical steps to reduce our environmental impact and support the transition to a Net Zero future.

Carbon Reduction Plan

We have an audited FY24 Carbon Report and are actively delivering the actions set out in our 2025 Carbon Reduction Plan. Our FY25 Carbon Report will be finalised in autumn 2026, helping us continue to measure our progress, identify opportunities for further reduction and strengthen our approach to managing emissions. Our environmental strategy extends beyond carbon reduction, with a focus on improving air quality, supporting the circular economy and protecting the natural environment. We are also developing our biodiversity plans to help customers meet their Biodiversity Net Gain requirements while creating opportunities to enhance biodiversity and deliver a wider positive environmental impact.

Working towards Science Based Targets

We are working towards setting Science Based Targets to provide a clear, measurable pathway for reducing our greenhouse gas emissions. This will help us strengthen our carbon reduction strategy and ensure our future actions are ambitious, credible and science-led.

Supporting Carbon Neutral Britain Since 2025

In 2025, we were pleased to begin supporting Carbon Neutral Britain. The projects we contribute towards are centred on developing greener, renewable technologies, including:

The Salkhit Wind Farm in Mongolia

The Salkhit Wind Farm is the first grid-connected wind farm in Mongolia, generating renewable electricity from wind power

Household Solar Lighting in Zambia

This project addresses energy poverty by providing solar lighting to families without access to electricity.

Wind Power in Maharashtra

This initiative demonstrates how targeted investment in clean technology not only helps reduce carbon emissions but also catalyses socio-economic and technological development within local communities.

Methane Capture & Green Energy in the Netherlands

this innovative project brings together sustainability, regulatory compliance, and renewable energy in a remarkable example of agricultural progress.
